7. North Queensferry--Box missing
Difficulty of Trail: Easy peasy
Length of Trail: 1 - 2 miles

Box missing. I hope to hide another box here sometime.

North Queensferry is directly North of the Forth Road Bridge, and can be reached by exiting the A90 directly after crossing the bridge. Follow signs into North Queensferry.

Battery Road car park (free) is situated directly underneath the red Forth Railway Bridge. It can be reached by driving into the town and turning left at the Albert Hotel, following the road around. This road ends at the car park, which has a toilet (20p). From here:

1. Walk back into town to the very start of the Fife Coastal Path, which is off of The Brae, directly above Old Kirk Road.
2. Head East on the Coastal path, walking underneath the Forth Railway Bridge.
3. Head into Carlingnose Point Wildlife Reserve and continue on the Fife Coastal Path
4. As you descend a slope you will see a disused pier in the water to your right. At the bottom of the hill just before the Green electricity box, turn right toward the water.
5. The letterbox is hidden between the 2 pieces of crumbling sea wall closest south.

After finding, exchanging images and making your entry, please ensure the lid is tightly back in place and the box is hidden well out of sight.

From this spot, you can see white flats at Dalgety Bay (if its not foggy, anyway). If you are interested in a full day of walking, Dalgety Bay can be reached by following the coastal path around (though part of the walk goes through some streets in Inverkeithing). Keep a sharp eye out for the coastal path signs to make your way.

If youd rather just walk a little further, there is a lovely beach just a short distance on down the coastal path.

For this box, you will need:
  • An inkpad
  • Something to write with
  • Gloves
